## About

Browser Use is an open-source browser agent that controls a real Chrome browser. Through MCP, an assistant can hand it web tasks such as navigating pages, filling forms, extracting data and completing multi-step flows like bookings.

It runs locally over stdio with uvx (browser-use with the cli extra, started with the --mcp flag) and needs Python 3.11 or newer. The agent needs an LLM key such as OPENAI\_API\_KEY or ANTHROPIC\_API\_KEY. A hosted MCP endpoint is also available at https://api.browser-use.com/v3/mcp, authenticated with an x-browser-use-api-key header.

## What it can do

- Run browser tasks in a real Chrome browser from natural language
- Navigate sites and fill out forms
- Extract data from web pages
- Use a local browser or a Browser Use cloud browser
- Choose between OpenAI, Anthropic or Browser Use models

## Example prompts

- "Open example.com and tell me the page title."
- "Find the number of stars of the browser-use repo on GitHub."
- "Fill out the contact form on this site with my details."
- "Extract the product names and prices from this listing page."
