Arm
MCP-Server von Arm
Search Arm documentation, scan code for Arm compatibility, check container architectures and analyze assembly performance.

mcp.tc/i/armÜber den Server
Provides AI assistants with tools and knowledge for Arm architecture development, x86-to-Arm migration and optimization. It offers semantic search over Arm documentation, learning resources, intrinsics and software compatibility data, and scans codebases with migrate-ease (C++, Python, Go, JavaScript, Java). It also inspects Docker image architecture support with Skopeo and check-image, and analyzes assembly performance with LLVM-MCA.
Runs locally as a Docker container over stdio (armlimited/arm-mcp). Mount your project directory at /workspace in the client configuration. No API key is documented. The server may write mcp-traffic.jsonl and error_logging.yaml to the mounted workspace, so review them before sharing.
Was du damit machen kannst
- Search Arm docs, learning resources and intrinsics semantically
- Scan codebases for Arm compatibility with migrate-ease
- Check whether Docker images support Arm architectures
- Analyze assembly code performance with LLVM-MCA
- Look up software compatibility information for Arm
Tools
Lokale Server zeigen ihre Tools erst, wenn sie laufen, und dieser veröffentlicht seine Liste nicht vorab. Dein Client zeigt sie, nachdem du ihn hinzugefügt hast.
Beispiel-Prompts
Scan my project in /workspace for x86-only code that needs changes to run on Arm.
Does the nginx:latest Docker image support arm64?
Search Arm documentation for NEON intrinsics for vector addition.
Analyze this assembly snippet for performance with LLVM-MCA.
Einrichtung
Jeder Client startet Arm mit demselben Befehl auf deinem Rechner. Wähl deinen; die Seite merkt sich deine Wahl.
Claude Code
- Run this in a terminal, in your project folder:
claude mcp add --transport stdio arm -- docker run -i --rm docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0- Start Claude Code and type
/mcp. arm should show as connected.
Add --scope user to make it available in every project.
Claude Desktop
- Open Settings → Developer → Edit Config. It opens
claude_desktop_config.json. Add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"arm": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"
]
}
}
}- Save the file and restart Claude Desktop.
Needs Docker on your computer. The file lives in ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/ on macOS and %APPDATA%\Claude\ on Windows.
Cursor
Zu Cursor hinzufügen (öffnet in einem neuen Tab)
Or add it by hand to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (this project):
{
"mcpServers": {
"arm": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"
]
}
}
}Needs Docker on your computer.
VS Code
Install in VS Code (öffnet in einem neuen Tab)
Or from a terminal:
code --add-mcp '{"name":"arm","type":"stdio","command":"docker","args":["run","-i","--rm","docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"]}'Or commit it to the repo in .vscode/mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"arm": {
"type": "stdio",
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"
]
}
}
}Needs Docker on your computer.
Devin Desktop
- Add it to
~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json(macOS and Linux) or%APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json(Windows):
{
"mcpServers": {
"arm": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"
]
}
}
}- Refresh the MCP server list in Cascade.
Devin Desktop is the new name for Windsurf.
Codex
codex mcp add arm -- docker run -i --rm docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0Or edit ~/.codex/config.toml directly:
[mcp_servers.arm]
command = "docker"
args = ["run", "-i", "--rm", "docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"]Needs Docker on your computer.
Gemini CLI
gemini mcp add arm docker -- run -i --rm docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0This adds it to the current project. Add -s user to use it everywhere.
Any client
Most clients that start local servers accept this shape:
{
"mcpServers": {
"arm": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0"
]
}
}
}Zed puts servers under context_servers in its settings, with the same command, args and env fields.
Needs Docker on your computer.
Häufige Fragen
Can I paste mcp.tc/i/arm into my MCP client?
No. Arm runs on your own computer, started by your client, so it has no web address to connect to. The quick link is the page to share; the install command is docker run -i --rm docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0.
Does Arm need an API key?
No. It doesn’t declare any keys or environment variables. It runs with your user account’s permissions, so check what its tools can reach.
Is Arm a remote or a local server?
Local. Your client starts it as a process on your computer with docker run -i --rm docker.io/armlimited/arm-mcp:2.4.0, which needs Docker.
What can Arm do?
You can Search Arm docs, learning resources and intrinsics semantically, Scan codebases for Arm compatibility with migrate-ease und Check whether Docker images support Arm architectures.
Which clients can use it?
Any client that starts local servers: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Devin Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Zed and others. claude.ai and ChatGPT only connect to remote servers.
Who wrote this page?
mcp.tc’s robot read Arm’s public metadata (its package and repository pages), and an AI model drafted the text from it. A person reviews anything the checks can’t confirm. The text can still be wrong, so if you spot a mistake, use Report this listing on this page.
