  1. Your domain

We look for the record on chrome-stats.com, the domain of the server’s own URL.

  2. Add this TXT record

Add one TXT record at your DNS provider.

    Type
    TXT
    Name
_mcp-tc Full name: _mcp-tc.chrome-stats.com. Some panels want the full name.
    Value
    mcp-tc-verification=fad3qjx5y5s4vjblx5ixzhwy

You can put the same record on chrome-stats.com itself instead (@ in most panels). We check both names.

  3. Request the checkmark

We look the record up right away. If it’s there, your request goes to a person for review.

We store a request only when we find the record: the listing, the domain, what the lookup found, the time and a keyed hash of your IP address, as the privacy policy explains.
